Synopsis
26-year-old Ann (played by Shuk Pui Yu) experiences a financial and visa crisis in her life in Norway. She lives with her partner, Dag (played by Helene Bergsholm) in a dilapidated apartment in the noisy area of Storgata Oslo. In the winter, she unexpectedly found out she was pregnant. The two’s relationship was on the brink of falling apart. However, due to the unexpected pregnancy, she has a chance to face the problems she has with her girlfriend and mother (played by Patra Au Ga Man).
Director biography
Bobby Yu Shuk Pui works as a visual artist, filmmaker and actress in Hong Kong and Oslo. Bobby views the contemporary body through several prisms, especially different cultural contexts and the construction of identity. She received an MFA Fine Arts in Oslo National Academy in Fine Arts in 2021. Her recent video "Genetic Salon - Waiting Room" has exhibited in Hong Kong, Prague and Oslo, and was selected in the AMIFF arctic moving image festival. Her five-year research project "Genetic Salon" is funded by the Arts and Culture Norway (Kulturdirektoratet), Oslo Kommune, Norske Billedkunstneres (NBK) and FKDS Studio.
