Synopsis

"Women do repetitive tasks every day..." "I don't plan to dedicate myself to men"... Love, marriage, career, family... These are issues that every modern person cannot avoid, and issues that every woman must face... After experiencing the social upheaval of the ten-year Cultural Revolution, China ushered in economic reform and opening up, as well as the liberalization of spiritual and ideological thought in the 1980s. This film focuses on the living conditions and spiritual struggles of four female artists living in Beijing during this period in 1994.
